5 Days Bird Watching in Tarangire and Lake Manyara

Have breakfast and starting your birding journey from Arusha with packed lunch to Tarangire national park. The drive normally takes 2 to 2½ hours from Arusha to Tarangire Park. Tarangire has great wildlife diversity and it is a home to a number of elephants. Today expect to see the following birds in Tarangire national park; African grey flycatcher, Ashy starling, Bare-faced go-away bird, Donaldson-Smith’s nightjar, Great white pelican, Mouse-coloured penduline tit, Northern pied babbler, Northern white-crowned shrike, Ostrich, Pink-breasted lark, Rufous-tailed weaver, Slate-coloured boubou, Von der Decken’s hornbill, Vulturine guineafowl, Yellow-collared lovebird among others.

Have breakfast and drive to the Lake Manyara with packed lunch to look for birds like; Abdim’s stork, African fish eagle, Saddle-billed stork, Silvery-cheeked hornbill, African grey hornbill, African hawk eagle, African jacana, Baglafecht weaver, Comb duck, Pied kingfisher, Crowned eagle, Great white pelican, Greater flamingo, Grey crowned crane, Hamerkop, Hottentot teal, Lesser flamingo, Little stint, Pied avocet, Hartlaubs Touraco Pink-backed pelican, Sacred ibis, Southern ground hornbill, Rosy crested Touraco Spur-winged goose, African spoonbill, Von der Decken’s hornbill, Yellow-billed stork among others
