Upon arrival at Bujumbura Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After a brief rest, your tour begins with an exploration of the capital city, Bujumbura. You'll visit notable landmarks such as the Independence Monument, which commemorates Burundi's independence, and explore the vibrant local markets where you can experience the daily life and culture of the Burundian people.
In the afternoon, take a scenic drive along Lake Tanganyika, one of the world’s largest and deepest lakes, offering beautiful views and a chance to relax by its shores. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant, enjoying Burundian cuisine, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, the tour continues with a visit to the Livingstone-Stanley Monument, located just outside Bujumbura. This historical site marks the place where the famous explorers, David Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley, met during their expeditions across Africa.
Next, you will explore the Rusizi National Park, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species in their natural habitats.
