Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After a short briefing, you will start the scenic drive to Tsavo West National Park, located about 240 km from Nairobi. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of the Kenyan countryside as you head to the park's main gate.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you’ll go on your first game drive in Tsavo West, famous for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. You may also visit the Shetani Lava Flow, a fascinating black lava field formed by volcanic activity.
After an early breakfast, head out for a full day of game viewing in Tsavo West. You’ll have a chance to explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from dense bushland to open plains and volcanic formations. Keep an eye out for the famous red elephants of Tsavo, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and the elusive black rhino.
Visit Mzima Springs, a series of natural springs that provide water for much of Tsavo’s wildlife. You can walk along a nature trail to the underwater viewing platform, where you may spot hippos and crocodiles swimming beneath the crystal-clear waters.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to your lodge for lunch, before continuing your afternoon game drive to explore more of the park's hidden gems.
On this day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to Chyulu Hills, a volcanic mountain range within the park. The hills offer breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding savannah, and they are home to a variety of wildlife and bird species. Take a guided walk or enjoy a game drive in this unique landscape.
Afterward, visit the Rhino Sanctuary, a protected area within Tsavo West, where you’ll have a chance to spot the endangered black rhino. The sanctuary is a key conservation effort aimed at protecting these majestic creatures.
In the late afternoon, return to your lodge to relax, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
On the final day of your safari, wake up early for a morning game drive, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures to spot early risers like lions, hyenas, and other predators. After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast and check-out.
Begin your journey back to Nairobi, stopping for lunch en route. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
