2 Day Rwanda Gorilla safari

This 2 Days Rwanda gorilla safari is designed for visitors interested in tracking mountain gorilla at the volcanoes national park Rwanda. The Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda is located in in the northern part of the country. It is part of the wider Virunga conservation area that covers Congo’s Virunga National Park and Mgahinga National Park.

A guide from Mission Africa Safaris will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in the morning to start your gorilla safari. You’ll explore Kigali with visits to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial and local markets, as well as the King’s Palace. After lunch, you’ll embark on a 2-3 hour drive to Volcanoes National Park, enjoying the scenic views of Rwanda’s lush, mountainous landscape along the way.

After an early breakfast, your guide will take you to the Kinigi park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing at 7:00 am. Here, you can hire a porter and select a gorilla family to track. The trek, which may last between 1 to 5 hours, will lead you to the gorilla group, where you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing them. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before the guide drives you back to Kigali for your departure or hotel drop-off.
